my first hours in Paris or something about our hotel

After this long day in Prague i was sitting in the airport and waiting for my flight to Paris. I've been to Paris ...hm... more than once. But this time it felt so different. As if it's going to be my first time. a bit nerveous
When I landed in Paris, I could see the beautiful sunset. who knew that next days it would be cloudy and rainy
I didn't have to wait for my luggage and I went straight to RER station. It was a bit funny that everyone in the train was asking me the direction (as if i had a clue. ok, sometimes i knew the answer).
Chatelet - a station where i had to do a change for the "ligne 1". Damn the station was so durty... I'd been here dozens times and only that day i saw so much durt. But i was heading towards my hotel which was...
here...
Less than 10 mins from Le Louvre. Kinda posh ... :)

Near the metro station i met my friend. I was tired, but happy to see her.
After a long journey I wasn't able to speak any language. But it was time for checking in.
The lobby seemed small, but cozy.
As every guest, i'm saying "hurray!" for free wi-fi in the lobby :)
We were welcomed by Zahra, a nice girl who helped sooo much during our stay. The same evening we arranged amenities to our second room ( yeah, the second room, which was for my friend as a birtday surprise). The same evening a concierge proposed a variety of different amenities. I decided that fruit plate is a better idea that "macarons from La duree".:)
Zahra said that i was the first one to ask for it :)
She wished us a good stay and we went towards an elevator.
I decided to take a pic of it when my friend when she was inside of it. I think it's kinda funny idea to do this sort of drawing in the elevator .
Our room was on the 1 floor. It was a tiny room (in comprarison with hotels in Moscow). But it was clean, light and ...the most important.. with the most comfortable bed on the earth. We had some troubles with Tv, 'cause it was always proposing to watch some adult films . But at least it was working without any problems, cause in another room there were some problems with it, but we just switched it off

Our room

Bathroom amenities

We had a view on bar which wasn't really loud, so it was ok in the evening.
But from another room, which was on the 4th floor... we had amazing balcony. If only it hadn't been raining the next morning...
I think it's a great place for "prendre le petit dejeuner"
The view from the balcony
Oh.. almost forgot.
Fruit plate
Thanks to Etienne from Front Desk who helped with the second room, thanks to whom plate arrived on time (i suppose also thanks to concierge and butler) and thanks to whom i saw a butler! finally
I suppose there are no words to describe how much i was satisfy with the service! IT WAS AMAZING! INCREDIBLE!!
if only i could stay there for a longer period :)
Also Zahra made me Marriott card (finally somebody did it :)) . We decided to take 4 glasses of champagne (2 per each room) for free. We tried it when it was time to say goodbye... :(

Frankly speaking, it was really hard to leave this place. So many good memories, good people around me... I even was about to start crying when i was leaving. A man from Front Desk (i suppose he is a supervisor, i haven't noticed his name tag) was always nice with me and when he saw my sitting so sad he passed near me asking if i was fine . so nice

So that weekend passed so quickly, but don't worry i will write more about it ;)

p.s. in the evening you might receive some candies from housekeeping and in the morning you will receive a newspaper which was published in this hotel.

It was an amzing time!

P.p.s. and don't forget to leave some tips ;)

first stop: Prague. the last, but not the least

After that tour i had only 3 h before the flight. Plus I had no idea how to get to the airport...
But still i had one more thing left to do...
1) pass Charles bridge:
2) see Old Square
3) drink Czech beer in the restaurant at Old Square...
I was running so fast from river side to get to Old Square and do this...
( I suppose it's easy to notice in what rush was I:))
but I did it!
one more dream came true this year!!!
p.s. Czech beer is the tastiest beer ever.

After all i was running to the airport. But this rush was worth it!

Prague, you're amazing! I hope to get back here one day. Maybe in winter ! ;)

Uvidíme se později!

first stop: Prague. free tour

I have strong believe that if you are going to a city for the first time you should have a guided tour around the city. Fortunately, i found a free guided tour around the city.

I thought that i would be late, but i was 10 mins earlier. Near Old square i saw a nice man and i understood that he would be my guide. There was a big crowd of people and only 4 guides. I don't know how, but i was in Pavel's group.
Pavel (or Paul) was born, raised and lives in Prague. He is really into history and  I really liked it. First he told us some information about Old Square.
It's hard to believe, but this little building is older than that church behind!
After we went to the tiny street where Pavel told us breatly the history of Czech Republic ("just remeber one thing : Czech Republic was always invaded"). Actually it's worth reading more about it.'Cause each espect influenced the architecture of city very much. As for me, i could easily notice the influence of communism. It's said that the best time for Czech Republic was before the Second World War.
The oldest university in Prague

We had many stops during the tour, but i couldn't stop staring at anything like this...

 absinthe

people singing on the street (ths time it was "call me maybe")

I won't tell you the whole excursion, but i would like to mention one part of the city ... Jewish part. I was left speechless when i heard some terrible stories about it...
This is the cemetry. Just imagine, 12 layers of bones...
I was shocked to see a woman standing near the wall and crying so hard!
Pavel told us about the expo of children's drawings which were made during Second World War. Out of 10 000 children only 2 500 survived. i hate wars.
Our excursion was close to the end... and i had little time to do what i wanted.
So i said "thank you" to Pavel, tipped him a bit and ran towards Old Square . Less than 3 hours were left before my flight to Paris, but i had to do THAT!

first stop: Prague. part 2. Chares bridge

Out of the blue, passing Four Seasons hotel , i saw it! Charles bridge! I couldn't imagine that it' so beautiful!
But less talk , more pictures! p.s. again lots of tourists :)

There were many places to make a wish (but i didn't do that).

Tha happiest moment for me when i was standing in the midle of this bruidge and enjoyed the view on the river... I wished i could've stayed there longer, but i had a free guided tour around Prague...
So i had to leave this beautiful place...

first stop: Prague. part 1/ arrival

less than 2 weeks ago i've been to the city which i always wanted to wander : Prague. I had a flight to Paris with a stop in this amazing city and i decided to use this opportunity to discover Prague.
It wasn't hot in the morning, but the weather was really promissing. The first thing that i saw in Prague was Courtyard (that time i was thinking about going there instead of heading towards the center of city, thanks God i didn't do that :)).
The hardest part was to get to the city center. For a month i was trying to learn Czech. Basically it's not that different from my native language, but when i found myself in the bus i couldn't understand a single word. The price of ticket was 40 or 60 crones (yeah, if you are planning to go there , don't forget to change euro into crones!). That ticket was for 90mins.
On my way to the metro i saw so many beautiful landscapes... I was left speechless and couldn't take any pics of them. I felt like that girl from "The fifth element". Everything was so the same, but at the same time so different!
Metro in Prague. Small and fast
The first thing that i saw in Prague was a beautiful building of hotel Europe. If only i knew that they serve there great coffee!

I was wandering the streets when i realied that i ddidn't know where were i. What should i do in this situation? Find free wi-fi. thanks to Mc-do!!!
After a cup of coffee i figured out that i just have to go straight-straight-straight and i woul find some historical buildings.
So i left McDo with no idea with what sort of places i would pass... just knowing where i would find myself...

"wow! this square looks nice.. oh, it's the Old quare"

As one friend said about Big Ben "i thought it would be bigger", the same thought about this square. It was nice and...historial. But i thought it would be bigger + there were lots of tourists.

Passing those people i went straight towards Charles bridge.
